Benji vs. Lefty Frizzel the Dog

Reasons why Lefty is in no way like Benji:

- He is not in any movies.

-He hates cats, and Benji saves them from hunters in movies

-Lefty's ears stick up more

-Lefty's ears are not black

-Lefty prefers to dabble in music, not adventure

-Benji is noble, Lefty is just supremely naughty

-Lefty's coat is not as curly, and is more blonde in shade

-Benji is probably dead by now, Lefty is alive

-If Lefty chased a bunny and cornered it, he would bark at aforementioned bunny, not just lick it and nobly spare its life.

-Lefty does not know how to kill a bird

-Lefty would not let a hunter sneak up on him and grab his scruff in order to procure the REward out for him

-Lefty cannot swim.

Reasons how they are the same:

-both badass

-both good with kids

-both love to chase rodents

-EXACT same mannerisms 

-same nose

-same cuddle factor

-same Houdini-style escaping prowess.

so I guess the verdict is, Lefty is a lot NOT like Benji, but I can definately see the resemblance.

here is a list of some great things that have happened so far this holiday season.  mm mm good.

1.  I finally have a new car.  He is a 2002 Jetta wagon.  He is silver, and his name is...well the jury's still out. (sorry Taylor, Kingsly is too dignified.)

2. I managed to purchase a blouse, a t-shirt, a cardigan, a jacket, and a pair of shoes with my $40 Christmas Old Navy budget.  Thanks Oma!

3. I've been in the studio recording with Taylor Martin.  The album sounds very niiiiiice.

4. I went on the best date ever to the Grove Park in in Asheville to have cocktails and look at the Gingerbread houses.  they have about 200 of them, and they are all REALLY pretty.  How romantic.  Ty pretty much killed it.  xoxo.

5. Now I will be in Holland until the 27th, then Nashville until the 30th.  family and friends.  love it.

p.s.  my mom is irritating the living hell out of me...

Everything is perfect now! (Knock on wood.)

 

New Ride

Found a new car.  2003 Jetta Wagon.  He's not a diesel, and no doubt he doesn't have as much heart as Ginger did (after all, he's not RED), but we might be able to jive.  He does have a manual transmission!

He needs a name though,  Any ideas?

One Horse Open Jeep

Hey look how much fun I have!

I'm starting to think about Christmas shopping this year.  

I hate Christmas shopping because I'm always afraid that I won't get something completely, utterly, mindblowingly, melting-your-peachy-face-off awesome.  I'm sure I'll succeed in finding things that are passably good, or even memorable, but I won't settle for less than gift giving that is legendary.

To compound that situation... I only have 45 dollars, and no mode of transportation to use as transport to the mall/BestBuy/independant bookstore etc.  This is a real McGuyver type situation and I must be resourceful and speedy!  I do have a possible ride from a certain handsome fellow, but he is one of the people on my "Remember to get him something awesome." list.  In addition, not only must I find him something awesome for Christmas without letting him know about it, I must also find him a present for his birthday, which is (*gulp*) Sunday. Pile on top of that family, close friends, and the fact that i can't find my sewing machine pedal, and you've got a real Christmas doozy.

Oh whatever did we do before cars and mobile phones and blogspot?  At this point, I would settle for a fucking horse and buggy.
